Tasting Notes

The nose shows clear notes of dark berries and cherries with violet, sweet spice, and a balsamic finish. Elegant and rich on the palate, it stays perfectly balanced with a savory, salty tannin profile and long persistence.

Food Paring

Pair with osso buco, rosemary roast lamb, or porcini-tagliatelle to match the wine’s tannin and bring out its floral-spice notes. For a simpler pairing, try grilled sausages or aged Pecorino, which complements the balsamic, savory finish.

Professional Reviews

96 Raffaele Vecchione

"Intriguing and with great respect for the fruit, it shows notes of raspberries, currants, cherries, lemon peel, lime blossom, crushed almonds and cassis. There is more in the background with enveloping nuances of hawthorn blossom, sandalwood and white pepper. Medium-full-bodied, classic and vibrant in the noble sip showing juiciness and fullness, balance and a centred profile. Great expression in the 2019 vintage. Best from 2026."
