Tasting Notes

Intense ruby in color, opening with sweet aromas of small ripe red fruits and plums followed by delicate spice. Full-bodied yet refined and easy to drink, it’s driven by supple, well-concentrated tannins that give persistence and balance.

Food Paring

Pair with Tuscan-style grilled sausages, pork shoulder, or beef ragù to mirror the wine’s ripe fruit and savory spice. Tomato-based pasta, roasted eggplant, and aged pecorino also make a natural, weeknight-friendly match.

Professional Reviews

"The 2023 Il Bruciato boasts a dark purple hue and exudes baked aromas of plum, pie spice, balsamic, and rich earth. Full-bodied, the palate is generous and rounded, with supple ripe tannins providing a fleshy sensation through the finish. I would prefer to enjoy this while it retains some freshness over the near term. This vintage is a blend of 37% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Cabernet Franc, 19% Merlot, and the remainder Syrah and Petit Verdot. 860,000 bottles produced."
