Defined by pronounced concentration and structure, it offers an ample, immediate aromatic profile with depth and clarity. The palate is intensely structured yet softly textured, finishing remarkably clean with fresh, lively persistence.

Food Paring

Pair with grilled sausages, steak, or rosemary-roasted pork to complement its firm structure and clean finish. Add roasted peppers or herb-seasoned vegetables to echo its savory, Mediterranean tone.

Professional Reviews

91 Wine Advocate

"The entry-level Argentiera 2021 Bolgheri Rosso Poggio ai Ginepri has a distinctive bouquet with black licorice root and blackberry confit. There is a strong balsam herb or cola-like component to this blend of Cabernets Sauvignon and Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot that gives lift to the bouquet, but that leaves the mouthfeel relatively straightforward and easy. Hints of spruce resin and pine cone also appear. This is a perfect partner to a spicy grilled sausage."
