Tasting Notes

Super-saturated and aromatic, it bursts with wild black cherry and boysenberry threaded with toffee, ganache and a savory cured-meat note. Ultra-plush on entry, the palate layers dark fruit with espresso, fine-grained tannins and a long, juicy finish.

Food Paring

Ideal with grilled lamb or a pepper-crusted steak to match the wine’s plush, dark-fruit intensity. It also pairs well with veal or roast poultry served with savory pan sauces.

Professional Reviews

95 Jeb Dunnuck

"The 2021 Alec's Blend is mostly Syrah (there's some Merlot, Petite Sirah, and Cabernet Franc) and its deep purple hue is followed by a gorgeous perfume of blackberries, blueberries, camphor, ground pepper, and hints of bacon fat. It's full-bodied and has remarkable purity, fine tannins, and a great finish. Drink this incredibly sexy, hedonistic beauty over the coming decade."
