I am impressed by the weight and energy of this very promising Clos Vougeot There is plenty up front, muscular, but enough behind too. A beautiful finish as pure class peeps throughout. "The 2022 Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru, which comes from foudre, has a very pure and seductive bouquet with glossy red cherries and strawberry fruit mixed with incense and violets. The palate is medium-bodied with a little chewiness on the entry. Quite a sinewy Clos Vougeot with impressive weight on the mid-palate, if missing a little precision on the finish. Sure, it will improve during the remainder of its élevage, but give it 4-5 years in bottle."
